The Torrance Recreation Services Department is launching a new way to get high quality instruction - via the Rec Instructor Network. City residents will now be able to book Music, Golf, Tennis, Pickleball, and Yoga lessons at facilities all over the city.

Rec Instructor Network lessons are booked at a time and place convenient for you. All lessons come with guaranteed reserved time at the facility, whether it be a tennis court, a golf tee-time, or yoga studio space.

The pilot will include some of the best instructors in the South Bay and we’ll continue to add more. Browse instructors in the coaching hub by price, availability, and locations where they teach in the city to find your perfect fit.

Residents can instantly book time with instructors during a time slot where the instructor has confirmed availability, no back and forth scheduling needed.
Once you find a slot that works, you simply book and pay right on the platform. Your instructor will be notified as soon as you book.

If you’re not seeing any good instant book slots, send a request to the instructor and they can set up a custom slot at a time that works for both of you.
Lessons by request can be 1-on-1, Group Lessons of up to four people, or Lesson Packs of multiple guaranteed lesson times. Lesson Pack or Group Lesson offer discounted rates. Simply mention that you’re interested in one of these options in your request.
All that’s left is to show up at your designated time and get playing with your instructor! You can access your court assignment on your rec profile, and it’ll be shared via text the day of your reservation.
